The #MAMAs2014 experience was definitely one to remember! This year continues to be great for Mafikizolo! The duo nabbed both Group of the Year and Song of the Year. Their humility is what grabs me the most and what’ll carry them for years to come.
Also attending the MAMAs was the hotness that is Trey Songz. Trey hinted at a collab with a local artist and what a great performance that was!
Miguel was the other international act and definitely didn’t disappoint! He was his usual chilled self and appreciated the love from SA!

A red carpet favourite was definitely Miss Bonang M. Her stunning emerald gown by GJC stole the show!

French Montana ended off the evening with his awesome performance and obviously had the crowd in awe! Some local acts later joined him on stage and Khloe Kardashian accompanied her BF French Montana to the MAMAs and obviously caused quite a stir during his interview at the press conference, as well as upon entering the auditorium at the actual event. You have to be a Kardashian for that kind of attention!
The best performance of the night goes to Ladysmith Black Mambazo! They wowed crowds with their rendition and mashup of “Acappello” and “Y-tjukutja”. They performed at another event in JHB earlier that night, which means they rushed to get to the MAMAs. That’s even more impressive!
