Fashionable Things To Do In Your Twenties

1. Get home as the sun rises..two days after leaving your place
You’re young and they always say the night is young, so take this opportunity to be carefree and party without so much as a glance at your watch. One day you’ll miss the days you were able to go three nights in a row without sleep like you are now.
 2.Lose friends
They say the older you get, the fewer friends you have and it’s true. As we grow and become more of who we are, we may unfortunately drift from friends who don’t fit with who we’ve become.
3. Road trip on a tight budget
Go where the road takes you, even on your limited budget. Pack a bag, grab a couple of friends and the rest will take care of itself, trust. You’ll stop over in small towns you never knew existed and sleep over in dodgy guesthouses where they hand you doom along with your room keys. But the entire experience will be worth it.
4. Drunk-dial your ex
Your sensible friend will try to stop you. She’ll say all sorts of rational things like how he broke your heart, doesn’t deserve you …blah blah blah. But you’ll call anyway because, even though its 3am, you’ll feel an overwhelming urge to tell him that you take him back (who cares that he didn’t ask you to). The bad news is: your friend is right that this call is a mistake, but you’ll only understand just how bad of an idea it was the next day when you’re sober. But that’s why they call it learning from experience.
5. Eat chocolate for breakfast, a doughnut for lunch and crisps for supper
In your 20′s you can almost eat anything you want with no weight gain. Believe us when we say at this age, you’re in the best shape of your life. After 30 slowly but surely, unless you’re a freak of nature like Halle Berry or Jennifer Lopez, everything goes south. Boobs, face, even hips, everything!
6. Dye your hair blue
Going blue should form part of your quest to try every hairstyle under the sun just because you can. You’re lucky to be at a stage where you’re working with a good head of hair so go on and change you look all the damn time.

7. Get a tattoo
The idea of getting something random like a bow on your lower back because you’re currently obsessing over them will probably come to you as you chat to one of your friends. It’s a phase that most of us go through and if you’re in it embrace it. You can always laser it off when you come to your senses at 40. And trust me, you will come to your senses!
8. Go on some blind dates
Try this now because going on a date with a stranger will just be too much effort when you’re older. It’s a great way to know the things you love in a guy and those you don’t. Just make sure you go about it safely though.
9. Go to a music festival and misbehave for the entire weekend
This is the only time you’ll be able go to a muddy field packed with people watching live music who may or may not spill their drinks on you and call it having fun. So buy that Oppikoppi ticket now.
10. Wear leggings as pants
Even though a lot of people regardless of age look down on this practice, when your body’s right and tight they can condemn you into next week. But what they can’t do is take away the heat that you are in them.
11. Rock the crop top trend
Especially before you have a baby. The trend is so cute and super fashionable but the older you get the more likely you’ll need a plastic surgeon to work on you before you work that crop top.

12. Date the bad boy, your guy friend and the artist/musician
Dating one or some of these types teaches us something. Some of it good and some quite bad. It’ll make meeting the love of your life even more special.
13. Get over a heart break
Aah this will probably come from your first love. And when he breaks your heart it will feel like your entire world has come crashing down. You’ll be convinced the sun won’t rise the next day. You’ll look at people laughing around you and wonder how they can laugh when your heart’s in a million little pieces. But you will get over it. One day you’ll even look back and think … why was I heartbroken over a guy who wore ‘knobs’ (studs)?
14. Go to a party/club and dance like nobody’s watching
It’s called turn up for a reason, and when you’re young, turn all the way up. If you’re in your twenties and go to a club only to sit and watch people dance, you might as well sit at home and watch Trace and Channel O.
15. Gatecrash a party
Just because you haven’t received an invite doesn’t necessarily mean you have to miss out on the hottest party on the social calendar. Just make sure you do the gatecrashing with your street-smart friend by your side because then you won’t get caught.

16. Blow your entire paycheck on a spending spree
Because sometimes, not all the time, looking cute in your new shoes and outfit is more important than doing your groceries. Plus you’re still young enough to ask your parents to help you out with them groceries. Just make sure it’s only once though.
17. Wear impossibly high heels for an entire evening out
Go on, while your knees can take it. By the end of the night you won’t be able to feel your feet but we’re sure you can live with that. Especially when you look back at pics of yourself and how those shoes were the perfect exclamation mark to a great outfit.
18. Make your first big purchase
If your budget allows, buy yourself a car at this stage of your life. It will teach you to manage your finances, and prepare you for even bigger purchases like property.
19. Invest in a retirement annuity
Yes you’re young and it may feel like you’ll never grow old, but you will. And when you are old this money will come in handy. Financial experts will tell you, the younger you start investing in one, the better.
20. Live with a roommate

Often times people warn against this but it’s a great way to save money. More importantly though, it will teach you how to live with other people and be a pleasure to live with yourself. Be lucky to meet a roommate that both of you understand each other like mine did.
