STYLES WE LOVE AND DISLIKE AT THE OSCAR 2014 AWARDS

Anne Hathaway/Grade C

Though we're sure the 31-year-old's fashion-focused colleagues in "The Devil Wears Prada" would approve of her head-to-toe Gucci look, we weren't feeling it. Hathaway, who took home an Oscar last year for her turn in "Les Misérables," wore a black silk crepe column gown with a crystal embroidered halter bodice, accessorized with a pair of black patent leather platform heels and a black clutch.
Charlize Theron/Grade A

The 38-year-old Oscar winner wasn't nominated for the 2014 honors, but she was a clear winner on the red carpet. She dazzled in an elegant, sleek black dress with a train, which she accented with Harry Winston jewels. Gorgeous!
Kate Hudson/Grade A

The 34-year-old actress can usually be counted on to look flawless on red carpets, and she definitely delivered some serious style in this low-cut beaded Atelier Versace gown.

Jared Leto/Grade B+

Did you really expect Leto, the night's winner for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his work in "Dallas Buyers Club," to wear a traditional tux? The 42-year-old Thirty Seconds to Mars singer rocked his signature long locks with traditional black pants and shoes but mixed it up by wearing a white jacket and red bow tie
Amy Adams/Grade A

Though the Best Actress nominee has said she's gotten more comfortable with wearing sexy looks, thanks to her "American Hustle" character's daring wardrobe, she decided to select a dress for the Oscars that made her feel more like herself. Sticking to what she knows best, Adams, 39, kept it classy in a custom Gucci sapphire silk crepe gown featuring a fitted bodice and a subtle train. Simply stunning.
Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves/Grade A

The night's Best Actor winner for his performance in "Dallas Buyers Club" was dashing in a Dolce & Gabbana tux. Meanwhile, his 32-year-old lady love was clad in a ravishing, curve-hugging Gabriela Cadena gown.
Kerry Washington/Grade B-

The pregnant "Scandal" star, 37, wore a drapey dress by Jason Wu and jewelry by Jennifer Meyer. Washington tied her romantic look together with pretty half-up, half-down hair and berry lips.

Leonardo DiCaprio/Grade B

The "Wolf of Wall Street" Best Actor in a Leading Role nominee, 39, was quite dashing in his midnight-blue Giorgio Armani tuxedo.
Julia Roberts/Grade C

The Oscar-winning actress, nominated again in 2014 for her role in "August: Osage County," stepped out in a boring, black lacy design by Givenchy
Brad Pitt/Grade A

The handsome 50-year-old actor/producer of Best Picture winner "12 Years a Slave" was definitely dapper in his Tom Ford tux.
Emma Watson/Grade C

Though the "Harry Potter" grad, 23, is always pretty, her Oscars look — courtesy of Vera Wang — was pretty blah
Pharrell Williams/Grade D-

The musician and nominee for Best Original Song for his tune "Happy," from "Despicable Me 2," was clearly running late as he dressed for what's undeniably the most prestigious party of the year. Why else would he wear shorts with his otherwise chic Lanvin look?

Lady Gaga/Grade B

The "Applause" singer brought the drama in a strapless, art deco-inspired Versace gown, which allowed her to showcase her assets. The 27-year-old singer paired the dress with an elaborate scarf and pulled-back locks. Though her 'do was probably meant to look retro, it came across as being a tad overdone.
Naomi Watts/Grade A

The "Diana" star, 45, looked lovely in a beaded cap-sleeve dress from the Calvin Klein Collection. She added some bling to her glam ensemble via her sparkling necklace and metallic clutch.
Penélope Cruz/Grade D+

Is this a pale pink sheet or a dress? The 39-year-old actress kept her famous curves under wraps in this Giambattista Valli strapless silk mousseline gown with a cape and a little bitty black bow.
Jessica Biel/Grade C+

Mrs. Justin Timberlake, 31, hit the red carpet in a form-fitting, beaded Chanel couture number, which was a little lackluster. Still, we'll tip our hats for her old-Hollywood-style tresses and shimmering Tiffany jewels.
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith/Grade B

Talk about a handsome couple! The actors gussied up in a classy Versace dress (for her) and a suave Berluti suit (for him) as they took in the show with plenty of their fellow A-listers
Jamie Foxx and daughter Corinne/Grade B+

The 46-year-old actor, who took home an Oscar in 2005 for his starring role in "Ray," arrived with his usual awards show date: his beautiful, 20-year-old daughter, Corinne. While she looked lovely in a white halter dress with turquoise jewelry, he looked suave in a black tux.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt/Grade A

The "Don Jon" star, 33, is always a class act, but looked particularly handsome in his Calvin Klein number.
Gabourey Sidibe/Grade B+

The "Precious" actress, 30, lit up the red carpet in a textured magenta dress by Theia, which she accessorized with a Judith Leiber clutch and jewelry by Dionea Orcini. Work it, Gabby!

  1. I love all the styles. My top 2 will have to be Naomi and Kerry's style. Both look effortless and gorgeous. Where is Lupita (my girl crush)? she didn't make your list? I am suing you. lol
