We’ve seen many reinterpretations of Disney princesses over the years, but CR Fashion Book’s latest twist on the classics might just be our favorite.
The mag’s Spring 2014 issue stars supermodel Joan Smalls as three of our favorite Disney Princesses — Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White — for a feature entitled Lee Daniels Fairy Tale Theater: One Girl’s Nightmare in Three Acts.
Lee Daniels’ is mostly known for his dramatic films, i.e. Precious and The Butler — but his exceptional photographs prove that he’s a man of many talents and a great pick for the editorial world of fashion.
The editorial is set in New York. As Snow White, Joan becomes the “fairest girl in all of Brooklyn.” As Cinderella, she takes a Cadillac to the club. And as Sleeping Beauty only “the finest man’s kiss” can awaken her….
…. which happens to be played by actor Michael B. Jordan.
