Seven reasons why Joe Jonas is NYFW's best-dressed man

He mixes materials masterfully:

An instant way to smarten up even the fluffiest, most pattern-heavy knitwear is to throw over your favourite leather jacket as seen here at Public School.
He proves leather jackets aren't just a top layer:
In deepest, darkest winter use your best biker as a layer between your jumper and weather-beating coat, as seen here at Duckie Brown. They key to getting this right? Make sure your leathers fit like a glove so you don't add extra bulk.
He knows that monochrome isn't all black and white:
If you're dressing all in one colour, make choose items in different fabrics as seen here at the Pharrell Williams-curated collaboration between Bionic Yarn and G-Star. That way you'll not only add interest, but throw off any slight inconsistencies in the shades you're wearing under the flashbulbs.
He can man-up a baby blue suit:
Not only are his box-fresh trainers and the cut of his suit impressive here, but we're incredibly impressed with how he's taken those pastels out of summer territory by throwing a dark blue wool coat over the top.
He commits to a trend:
It takes a pro to pull off a head-to-toe baseball get-up without it looking like you're off to practice at the diamond. If you want to pull it off with aplomb, we suggest you take a mental picture of Jonas' look from the Opening Ceremony front row.

…and he knows how to winterise it:
The smartest way to insulate your suit for winter is with a wool overcoat. Here, Jonas demonstrates how easy it is to sharpen up even the boldest tailoring by slipping a subtle navy number over the top.
He knows the power of a blue suit…
If we've said it once, we've said it a thousand times: a blue suit is one of the most versatile items you can own. Not only does it arguably provide you with the most neutral base for shirt and tie combinations in the workplace, but it also works hard on the weekend – as proved by his dressed down looks at the Gant Rugger (left) and Todd Snyder (right) shows.
