In modern society we constantly push boundaries and often forget how impressive true elegance can be. This is something we explore in our ‘Principle of Elegance’.
In celebration of the often under-valued beauty of elegance, here is a list of the tv characters in 2013 that i feel celebrated Elegance and not because they were Hyped, But Because they had it in them.....have fun guys.

When Mad Men first started, it took the fashion world by storm and inspired retro comebacks on the catwalk and in our closets. And no-one better personifies 50s/60s elegance and style than Betty Draper – Don Draper’s wife (or ex-wife). With a full face of make-up and never a hair out of place, Betty wears colourful skirts and pristine pumps like no other housewife.
2. Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) – Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl was one of the most fashionable shows in TV history and Blair Waldorf ran the Upper East Side in her elegant, power outfits. Queen B’s style included an enviable array of designer duds, polished and put together, usually with her signature bow headband. Blair was always the epitome of modern elegance – whether rolling out of bed with her silk eye mask or strolling in 6-inch heels through Central Park.
3 Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) – The Fixer

Olivia Pope is a powerful woman – a gladiator who pulls the strings and kicks the president’s butt. As the Queen on the Washington D.C. chessboard, her elegant power outfits are full of personality and confidence. Olivia rises to the challenge each week in Escada pantsuits, Burberry trenches and structured Armani blazers – most in signature white. She portrays powerful elegance without a hitch.
4 Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery) – Downton Abbey

The eldest sister of Downton Abbey has the most refined wardrobe that money can buy. Cut from the British upper class, Lady Mary’s classic outfits are elegant, occasion-appropriate and full of mystical romance of the post-Edwardian era.
5. Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) – House of Cards

The ruthless wife of a powerful politician, Claire Underwood’s wardrobe is as calculated, immaculately tailored and composed as she is. Her elegance is so ingrained into her DNA, that she even makes working out look classy.
6. Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) – Revenge

In order for her revenge plan to work, Emily has to become like the people she’s trying to take down. Fortunately for us, fitting in to the Hamptons lifestyle means sleek elegance and lots of couture. Emily never has a hair out of place, even when she’s beating up bad guys.
7. Jess Day (Zooey Deschanel) – New Girl

Jess Day is proof that you don’t always have to be perfectly put-together to be elegant. Jess gets into trouble and up to mischief in bright colours, playful patterns, short and flirty hairlines and glasses. We dub her wardrobe ‘adorkably elegant’.
